Root Canals

We do our best to avoid any need for treatment. However, sometimes root canal therapy is necessary to save a baby tooth. Root canal therapy is used to treat a tooth with deep decay that has reached the soft inner tissues. Alternately, the tooth may have sustained an impact injury. Root canal therapy involves removing infected soft tissue and cleaning out the inside of the baby tooth before sealing it. A tooth-colored composite filling will be used to close the top of the tooth.

Other endodontic procedures are also available to patients. Endodontics refers to the treatment of the root or soft inner tissue of the tooth. A crack below the gum can cause pain in a tooth after a trauma. We can determine the root cause and provide treatment to save the baby tooth.

Our gentleness and kindness towards children, as with all dental treatments, is what keeps our patients calm and comfortable. We will help parents to determine the best level of sedation for their child.

"My daughter loves going to see Dr. Alicia Michel. She's always so pleasant, kind, and gentle.  The nurses at the front desk are also very nice. The wait is never long, the atmosphere is always bright, and the office is very clean. The toys at the end of the visit are  the cherry on top! 😊"

“I took my kids today to see Dr. Michel and it was a great experience. Beginning with the friendly front desk staff and then the assistants and hygienist!!  The entire staff is loving, patient and kind. Although my son was extremely anxious and uncooperative, Dr. Michel was patient and understanding and helped him overcome the moment and have a great checkup.

Very happy to have found this practice. Thanks ladies.
