"My daughter loves going to see Dr. Alicia Michel. She's always so pleasant, kind, and gentle.  The nurses at the front desk are also very nice. The wait is never long, the atmosphere is always bright, and the office is very clean. The toys at the end of the visit are  the cherry on top! 😊"

“I took my kids today to see Dr. Michel and it was a great experience. Beginning with the friendly front desk staff and then the assistants and hygienist!!  The entire staff is loving, patient and kind. Although my son was extremely anxious and uncooperative, Dr. Michel was patient and understanding and helped him overcome the moment and have a great checkup.

Very happy to have found this practice. Thanks ladies.

AVOIDING INJURY

These are some suggestions to help your child avoid injuries.

  • Your child shouldn't chew on popcorn kernels, ice or any other hard object.
  • To prevent falling, childproof your home.
  • Place children in a car seat and fasten their seatbelts.
  • For contact sports, make sure they have a helmet.
  • We can create a mouthguard that is custom-made for your sport.

Here are some of the most common dental emergencies that we have seen, along with our suggestions on what to do next.

Chipped teeth: Try to find the chipped fragment and bring it to our office. To reduce pain, apply a cold compress.

Dislodged teeth: Don't attempt to move a broken tooth back in its place if it was moved or lost. As soon as possible, take the child to Dr. Michel.

Knocked Out teeth: We can reposition the tooth if your child can come to our office within thirty minutes of the injury. Do not touch the root, but only the enamel. If it is dirty, rinse gently and then store in cold milk or saliva. Do not use soap to clean the tooth. See Dr. Michel immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

Toothache: Wash the child's teeth and check them to ensure nothing is stuck between their teeth. Apply a cold compress to ease pain. Orally, children can take a pain relief medication. You should contact our office immediately.
